Context

The high season for annual shareholder meetings is, year after year, one of the most demanding periods in corporate governance: dozens of critical assemblies are concentrated into a few weeks, each with its own coordination, quorum and voting. In 2026, EVoting supported that process as a technology partner across six countries —Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala and Peru—, connecting shareholders from 20 different countries on a single platform.

Challenge

Volume was compounded by simultaneity: many meetings fall on nearby dates. The last week of April marked the peak of the season, with 56 meetings held in just three days of maximum concentration, all running in parallel and in real time.

Solution

Each meeting was supported end to end —accreditation, live quorum registration, secure electronic voting and instant vote counting— in person, remote or hybrid format, depending on each company's needs. Among the season's highlights was Bantrab, one of Guatemala's leading banks, which digitised its registration, accreditation and voting with EVoting, accrediting more than 6,700 shareholders and cutting its assembly's duration in half, from 10 to 5 hours.

Results

Market confidence shows in one clear figure: 27 of the 30 companies on the IPSA, Chile's main stock index, chose EVoting for their shareholder meetings. By the end of the season, the tally stood at 155 meetings and assemblies held, more than 100 hours of processes running, and clients who have kept their trust for a seventh consecutive year.
