EVOTING OFFICE IN PERU CONSOLIDATES WITH 2021 RESULTS

Engie Energía Perú and Unión Andina de Cementos (UNACEM) held their shareholders' meetings this week.

With 28 processes carried out in just over a year, the EVoting office in Peru is deemed to be consolidated. At least that is what the Commercial Director in that country, Verushka Ugarte, affirms. ``2021 has been a good year, a year of growth and gaining the loyalty of important clients who come back to request our services. They are very happy,” she says. The executive refers to the two shareholder meetings held this week, both with clients with whom they have already worked more than once: Engie Energía Perú and Unión Andina de Cementos (UNACEM).

The commercial director explains that the growth in demand for e-participation services initially faced cultural difficulties, related to the lack of familiarity with this type of tool. “At the beginning it was very difficult, there was a lack of knowledge of the platforms and, therefore, also of their advantages. However, with time and in light of the concrete results obtained with important institutions in Peru, an almost natural opening has taken place,” she says.

For the coming year, Verushka Ugarte is focused on new objectives: “At the beginning of 2021 our goal seemed very far away, but we have grown, we have a great knowledge of the country and the market, and there is a lot to do. We expect to grow 200% by 2022”, she adds.

“There are several niches in which we can continue to work: collegiates, unions, business people, universities. Serious institutions urgently need to have secure and transparent votings, and we can guarantee it: there is still a lot to do,” says the Commercial Director of Peru.
