EVoting's electronic voting platform has been certified by the National Labor Directorate since 2014, has carried out 1,200 union elections, and received more than 350 thousand votes.

With the end of the State of Emergency, Chilean unions must resume their processes of renewal of directives, since it puts an end to Law No. 21,235 which temporarily suspended the electoral processes of union directives and delegates. See more at EVoting Youtube Channel.

In Chile, there are approximately 14,500 active Unions and Associations of public employees. EVoting has worked with around 500 of them, representing almost 60% of its clientele. Since 2014, its electronic voting platform has been certified by the National Labor Directorate, as one that “fully ensures the anonymity of the electorate, is auditable and cannot be intervened by third parties”.

Felipe Lorca, Voting Manager, says that the company has worked with the Chilean Labor Inspectorate “from Arica to Punta Arenas” and highlights the experience: “of our over 1,200 union elections, 350 thousand votes have been received and the average participation is close to 80%,” he says.

Lorca explains that the platform is “100% secure, guarantees the secrecy of the vote, allows voting from anywhere with a device connected to the Internet, and delivers immediate results”. He also adds that it includes the support of a Help Desk for all voters.
