A record participation in the Chilean Society of Musical Authors and Performers, an important milestone at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica and the celebration of leaders in innovation marked May for EVoting.
The fifth month of the year came to an end and left historic processes for several organizations. The Chilean Society of Musical Authors and Performers (SCD) held the election of its board of directors with a participation that far exceeded that of previous years, the Technological Institute of Costa Rica elected its first female rector in history and EVoting launches the Leaders who Innovate campaign.
RECORD TURNOUT AT THE CHILEAN SOCIETY OF AUTHORS AND INTERPRETERS
From May 9 to 11, the SCD held the election of six members of its board of directors with the EVoting platform. The voting culminated with more than 1,000 votes, far surpassing the nearly 700 received in the previous process.
“We have a record election (…) and I think this has a lot to do with the participatory spirit and the commitment to the institution, and also the ease with which EVoting makes voting,” said Rodrigo Osorio, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society.
TEC OF COSTA RICA ELECTS ITS FIRST WOMAN AS RECTOR
For the first time in its more than 50 years of history, the Technological Institute of Costa Rica will have a woman as rector.
María Estrada Sánchez was elected with 45% of the preferences in the voting that was carried out with EVoting’s EUniversities platform.
“After 52 years, the Technological Institute of Costa Rica will have a female rector for the first time. A woman will lead the country’s science and technology institution, a public university that is ready to take that step towards global positioning”, said Estrada at the end of the process.

LEADERS WHO INNOVATE: TECHNOLOGY AT THE SERVICE OF PEOPLE
In its almost 10 years of history, EVoting has sought ways to bring technology closer to its clients and currently more than 3,000 processes have been carried out with its platforms.
All this led to the company being crowned as the global winner of the Tech4Democracy award in March 2023, a competition that recognizes startups that strengthen democracy.
In this sense, Leaders who Innovate is born, which aims to show the stories of various organizations that dared to implement EVoting technology and its services, for a better performance.
Andrés Atala, Head-Investor Relations of the Credit and Investment Bank SA (Chile), is the protagonist of the first story and shows the ability to innovate and take risks in large companies.
